The accounts sent with the Liquidators letter are by no means complete and not easy of comprehension.

On March 20th 1915 in view of the unsatisfactory position, and in order to elicit further information, the following cables were exchanged with Kr. Bunje:-

"Understand you endeavouring purchase Gauppe Business

We might co-operate suggest you come London with

full particulars present position, past results, Hong Kong Singapore to discuss proposition".

to which Mr. Bunje replied on April 3rd as follows:- "Agree co-operate purchase Gaupp can arrive London

end May cable confirmation".

Our reply to the latter was as follows:-

"Come soon as possible bring full details".

to which he cabled
